My relationship with food is great, trust me it is love. I love to eat. I am very picky. Vegetables just aren't my thing. Looking through my blog it is obvious that I am a food junkie eater. I am stunned that I really do put unhealthy food in my body and I haven't took action yet just because it hasn't caught up to me yet. I make these choices just because of my schedule. I should really take the time to learn how to cook something more "appealing" to my body not just my wants. I just don't think I could ever turn my back on my eating habits. I am pretty diversed and some what fair. I cheat my way to veggies through seafood and chocolate through Special K cereal.
Since I started college, my whole day is always rushed. During my small break between classes, I don't have time to eat a big meal, or go to the cafeteria, so I got hooked on Lunchables. Lunchables are like little mini sandwiches. I usually buy 5 a week for school. I just throw it in my purse and I have something good and filling to eat during my day.
I have the unhealthy eating habits of a normal American. Fast food is just so delicious and easy to get. Plus it is a lot cheaper. I don't like salads at all. I call salads "Rabbit food".  Salads taste like grass to me. Deep inside I know that I am doing damage to myself but I don't think about it in the moment. Jack in the Box and any type of pizza will be the perfect lunch for me.
Jack in the Box tacos dipped in Buttermilk is heaven in my stomach!

Say hello to my favorite midnight snack, pizza.

Chips are another one of my favorite snacks to fill myself in. Chips are the easiest things to eat and they are very tasty. I understand that they are not the healthiest choice but they are pretty tasty. My chips of choice are "Miss Vickie's". Her chips are amazing. They really made me fall in love all over again. They are the chips of my choice.

YUM! CHIPS!! So many choices!
This plate is grilled shrimp, fries and red rice. I usually eat this about once a week. Shrimp is my favorite seafood item to eat. The red rice pairs it very well.
This is one of my favorite dish to eat. It is called "Ceviche". Ceviche can be either fish or shrimp. I prefer shrimp. The shrimp is first marinated and "cooked" in lime juice for a couple of hours. Then you add tomato juices and just about any type of vegetables you like. I am not a vegetable person at all. This is one of the few dishes that I actually eat my veggies in. This dish is also served cold. It pairs well with Saltine crackers. Doesn't this look delicious at all?
I must admit, that I just have a tendency of just eating random snacks between my meal hours. I don't follow any diet at all. My satisfaction doesn't necessarily revolve around what my body needs, but of what I want.
My favorite snack to eat are pomegranates,

They really do have a great taste. I usually add a whole fresh squeezed lime and chili powder. This fruit actually gives me a full feeling and it is healthy.

My usual breakfast about 6 days  a week is, SPECIAL K CEREAL! My favorite Special K cereal is the usual chocolate. I love chocolate and this cereal is really healthy and good for you.
My peanut butter sandwhich with whole wheat bread and a side fruit never fail me. They are the perfect quick lunch before a nice shift at work.
My snack of choice will always be chips. But ofcourse there is those days where I really need something filling and a less calorie snack  and have to settle for something a little different than my usual chips. My Special K bar. I don't mind Special K at all. It is a good brand, I choose this over pop tarts just for the fact that it is a little bit healthier and not ass sweet.
My eating habits do not only revolve around my busy schedule, but also affected by my heritage. Here is a wonderful photo of my Grandmother, Gloria, making our delicious "Sopes" which is a small tortilla fries and smothered in beans lettuce and a secret type of salsa.

Tamales

I love my Mexican heritage. I have finally learned how to make our traditional dish. Our famous "Tamales". Our tamales are simply made from corn dough, oil, and any meat of your choice, my choice was pork. This isn't the healthiest thing on the menu, but I can't ever help going to a family party and passing these babies up.

Growing up, I was never taught to eat healthy. I basically grew up eating whatever my mother cooked. I must admit, she did try to make me eat my vegetables. Did I ever? No. I just found vegetables to be gross and disgusting. Now growing up I find myself eating less and less healthy. My eating habits are influenced on my busy schedule that I have due to being a full time student and working almost full time.
